The Inverness & Cromarty Firth Green Freeport hosted a community engagement webinar on Tuesday 24th October 2023. Hosted by Calum MacPherson (Chief Executive of ICFGF), the webinar presented the opportunity to discuss what a Green Freeport actually is , the opportunities that come with it and the impact it will have within the region.

Inverness Chamber of Commerce hosted the first business engagement event since the announcement, consortium members were able to discuss the aims and aspirations of the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport, as well as the potential benefits and next steps.

With growing interest and announcements being made in relation to Green Hydrogen, OCF hosted an online masterclass session with representatives from the Community Councils around the Cromarty Firth.
This well-attended meeting covered a range of topics and featured excellent speakers from; The Highland Council, HiTRANS, Pale Blue Dot, Scottish Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association and the Port of Cromarty Firth.
